About the challenge

The participation period will last for 5 weeks starting from 12th March 2023. The teams will be given  a problem facing their community to solve during the entire time.

Each team will be assigned a Team Lead who is either a Gold Member or Beta Member of the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program. The Team Lead is part of the team contributes to the creation of the project.

Each team is required to have at least one review session with their Team lead every week.

Each week is a sprint, code submission must be in by 11.59 PM Saturday for review and weekly judging.

If the team will use Microsoft Azure for the development of their solution, they are only allowed to Strictly use the Azure for Students Subscription which they can activate from http://aka.ms/azureforstudents

At the end of the 5th week, by 11.59 PM Sunday 16th April 2023 EAT, each team is required to submit the deliverables listed in the WHAT TO SUBMIT section.

What to Submit

  1.  3-minute pitch video (Upload your pitch on One Drive or YouTube and provide the link, ensure the link can be accessed publicly without any login)
  2. Demo video (Max 10 minutes of code and product walkthrough, include the Software Instructions, i.e., the demo video should explain how your product works)
  3. Documentation (Problem statement, Concept/Detailed explanation of the solution and how it works, Business plan)
  4. Project Summary (Concept and how it works, not more than one page)

The demo video, documentation and project summary should be zipped and uploaded as one file.

    Does the project address the Challenge, and present a clear and relevant solution?

    Who is the project primarily for? Why is this solution different and compelling for the customer?
  • Business Value - 20%
    What business value does your project provide?
  • Feasibility - 10%
    Does the project have actionable next steps and a reasonable chance of success in its implementation?
  • Inclusion - 10%
    Does the project create an inclusive experience, making others feel valued, respected, and sense of belonging?
  • Make Something - 15%
    Does the project make or create something tangible that can be shown or demonstrated, going beyond an idea?
